Ex Machina is film we are pretty excited to see this spring. The film is directed by Alex Garland who is usually a writer by trade, but he not unfamiliar with the silver screen. His excellent novel The Beach was turned into film staring Leonardo DiCaprio. You might also know him from 28 Weeks Later and Sunshine. Either way it seems we are in the good hands of a true story teller. taruhan bola

The Boys – Promising The Gross and Gruesome Heroes – Based on the ultra-violent comic book series by Garth Ennis (Preacher) and Darick Robertson Amazon’s. The Boys takes a dark view of a world where superheroes are commonplace. Sadly the probably more realist view of humankind sees many of the “heroes” taking whatever they want from society – in often corrupt and disgusting ways. Certainly not the first TV show or comic to explore this dim world (Watchmen, Powers, even Umbrella Academy) this take is betting heavy on gross and gruesome. judi online
The first episode of The Boys was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival. While I personally didn’t attend I got the firsthand breakdown from someone who did. She confirmed the exploits of the characters leaves one wishing they hadn’t eaten that greasy burrito before watching. Heck even the heroes vomit in their own show. slot
But the celebrity hero assholes of this world do have a counter balance. A group of vigilantes known informally as “the boys,” are forming to take down the corrupt superheroes with little direction but a willingness to fight dirty. hari88
The Boys brought to TV and directed by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen will be an eight episode order exclusively on Amazon.
We will be at Comic Con in a few weeks with invites to both Amazon’s The Boys and Carnival Row premier parties. I’m hoping to see for myself and let you know more on the other side.
Daredevil is clearly the best of the Marvel Netflix TV endeavors. Cutting an almost perfect line between action, style and substance.. This show probably set the bar too high for the follow-ups like Luke Cage and Iron Fist. While Jessica Jones was pretty great, Daredevil was awesome, save for the season finale in season 1. What was that? judi bola
Now that sophomore season is over and the somewhat lackluster The Defenders behind us, it’s time to think about Daredevil Season 3. (so much happened in Defender how did it feel to flat?) Filming starts early next year and the big news is apparently King Pin aka Wilson Fisk is back stomping concrete. Concept artist James Holland (via ComicBook.com) has shared two looks of the return of the villain in a double breasted suit. premium303
Kingpin’s Concept In Daredevil 3
Pure white, a color not often associated with bad seems to be the direction his tailor is suggesting. You know why Deadpool wears red right? So the bad guys can’t see him bleed. Why would he wear white, to blend with the righteous maybe? Notice the purple in concept two, curious to see how much purple Fisk will wear this new season (see also Kilgrave’s complete wardrobe from Jessica Jones). Good to see Kingpin won’t be getting a What Not To Wear makeover, just a tweak for his return. https://3.79.236.213/
Speaking with We Got This Covered, actor Vincent D’Onofrio (I just saw him in the CHIPs movie) says Daredevil season 3 will “blow fans away.” Well no one has ever promised that before, but I have high hopes. According to Vincent the story will be more emotional this time around.
D’Onofrio joins the other perfectly cast members in the Daredevil storyline “Born Again.” At least that is what I’ve been reading on THR. It will acknowledge the events from the end of The Defenders and go from there, but it will not follow the comic series page for page. Hopefully we will also learn Elektra’s fate. I feel bad for her.
Holy shit SyFy’s TV show Happy! is pretty crazy messed up – and that’s a very good thing. It proves SyFy gets the twisted mind of Grant Morrison’s (Hellblazer, Batman Incorporated) original story. The story of Nick Sax, a soulless, mostly intoxicated ex-cop (just to name a few traits) who is now playing for the other side as a contract hit-man.
And that is simple normal part. Sax lives a morbid life, separated from almost all reality. But it is far from an ordinary life, especially the stuff in his mind. In the TV show we first meet him in the bathroom of a dive bar where he’s destroyed the toilet (yes like that) and is now fantasying about shooting himself in the mirror. This leads to a cut-away dance sequence where blood gushes from the top of his missing head while he sways to a disco beat. With accompanying dancers no less. https://linklist.bio/premium303_slot_online
Adapted from Morrison’s 2013 comic by the same name Happy!, the SyFy adaptation strikes new ground for the science fiction network that recently promised more sci-fi. Happy! Delivers on this promise and challenges us to come along for a gruesome yet sometimes funny and touching ride. Although it’s a little light on the “touching” so far. www.mustangcontracting.com
The Image comic follows the strange events that send a small cartoon flying horse to Mr. Nick Sax. Going by the name “Happy!” he (it?) is the imaginary friend of a small girl who has been kidnapped by a sadistic Santa Clause. Yeah this is some of the the weird stuff I mentioned.
SyFy takes a mostly unflinching look at this very adult comic and has created a faithful adaption of the original books. I’m going to caveat that by saying SyFy is not a premium cable channel like HBO and therefor some of the most terrible features (if you can call them that) of the book won’t been seen. And there are far less occurrences of F-word compared to the comic.
But overall I’m enjoying the rapid fire ever changing approach. Events happen quickly in the story and are told in compressed bite sizes. The ex-cop genre which this story is based, is stacked with overused and campy ploys and gimmicks. Happy! attempts to hopefully eventually leverage all of them. The blue horse (voiced by Patton Oswalt) expands Happy! into a cop buddy flick at times with Nick perfectly played by Christopher Melon. He calling the drunken shots while blue plays the sober and naive moralistic rookie. The love hate relationship ventures into well traveled story territory with bickering, snappy one-liners and comebacks. But in this version it lives contained within this bizarre construct. Where a drunk ex-cop can cheat at poker because this imaginary friend can read the other players cards.
Looking for something new, not turned off by dialog like “Can I go take a shower? I’ve everything that can come out of a man all over me.” then check out Happy! on SyFy.
Breaking Down New Red Dead Redemption 2 Screenshots – The game is delayed, lets talk about screenshots. Did anyone really think that Red Dead Redemption 2 would arrive this year (and sadly it isn’t) but to keep us all interested Rockstar released over a half dozen Red Dead Redemption 2 Screenshots. Let’s take a look, while we wait… for sometime after March 31st 2018.
The next installment (rumored to be a prequel) will be the third in series and it looks absolutely gorgeous. The Wild West looks down right awesome in these captures. Sure they are promotional still images, but damn they do look good. agen bola
Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience. https://www.mustangcontracting.com/
Four riders at midnight, a moon glow silhouette. Does this imply a day – night cycle? Not sure but this image certainly captures the essence of big sky country.
Train heist, before… and after (maybe during). Gotta believe this implies some good ole’ train heisting.
Speaking of rhyming and stealing, here is a stage coach. Possibly armed with the latest in anti-theft devices – aka shotguns. I count at least four guards riding, two on-board and maybe two inside.
About them guns, check out the detail in the Red Dead Redemption 2 screenshot. Beautiful, wonder if that is a legendary skin.
Apparently it won’t all be happening in the dry high plains. Those trees look pretty big, I going to guess Redwoods – sounds like we are going to Cali.
Finally back in town to sell my loot, and upgrade my skills.
Looks good can’t wait. RDR2 will arrive in 2018 for Xbox, and PlayStation. Per an exclusivity agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment, certain online game content will be a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4.
PlayStation Vue Launching – Andrew House, president of Sony Computer Entertainment, said Wednesday the PlayStation Vue service will be launching in Beta form within the next two weeks.
The test will only be available in New York, Chicago and Philadelphia via invitation-only. Full service in the USA will launch by the end of the year. taruhan bola
Sony’s PlayStation Vue allows subscribers to watch “cable TV channels” without the inflated cost of cable or satellite service. The new service will have about 75 channels including CBS, NBC, FOX, FX, Comedy Central, and Discovery. And will work on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 consoles. Sony plans to eventually offer the service on other devices – both Sony and other brands (assuming not Xbox). An iPad version of the service is rumored to be coming. One notable omission in the channel line up is ESPN, but Vue does contain Fox Sports. americandreamdrivein.com
Sony has been working hard to broaden the appeal of it’s flag ship console extending the entertainment value in many areas. Recently Sony announced that the popular Spotify service will be available for music streaming.
Reviewers and some fans reaction was swift and loud. Ultimately forcing EA to quickly make adjustments even before the game went live to the general public. The biggest problem as we all know was the reward system. Rewards were going to require money – in the form of pay loot boxes. Turns out your $60 (even $80) wasn’t going to get you the full game the critics argued, but EA is more than happy to sell you the rest, one micro-payment box at a time. https://americandreamdrivein.com/
The price gauging complaint prompted EA to remove the in-game loot box purchases completely. The only remnant was the unused button on the home screen. But this was only the first salvo. It didn’t take long for critics and gamers to start realizing how much grinding was needed to unlock the free rewards. And now that buying loot was out of the question, fans broke out new ways to unlock the goods – rubber bands.
The Overreaction
Numerous articles, reviews, videos, and posts slammed the greed of EA, especially when it affected their sacred IP Star Wars. Some gamers have called on Disney to take Star Wars back from EA. Well some less successfuly than others…
With all this perceived hate the investors got worried. Sending EA’s stock down almost 9% wiping out $3 billion in shareholder value. Yes you read the right.
The Reality
Everyone was ready for the fall of Star Wars Battlefront II, but it didn’t happen. The game seemingly only built to frustrate somehow didn’t tank. According to NPD Group Star Wars Battlefront II ranked 2nd in sales last month. Right behind the juggernaut Call of Duty WWII and honestly what game was going to unseat a non-space COD at this time of year? With all this controversy packed into November the game edged out Assassin’s Creed return, Destiny 2, NBA2K and the everything Nintendo.
It’s Star Wars Damnit
Fans might be disappointed, but dammit they love Star Wars! The game does look amazing, the details are precise, and there is a single player mode too. While sales were initially slow, it appears there is a significant amount of fans (or parents of fans) who either don’t agree with the critics or just love Star Wars too much to let all this get in the way.
Maybe they don’t care (that much)
I think there are a few tiers of PvP gamers. There are the CSGO type who analyze every pixel on a map and gun detail, and there are the run-n-gun noobs. (And many levels in-between) But I think the SWBF fans might not really care if they have every attachment unlocked. It doesn’t keep them from enjoying the game, they might not even know what they need to accomplish to unlock the 4x ACOG site (or whatever it’s called in this DICE game). Good for them, I own the game too and I’m not going to unlock everything. But I do hope EA (and other publishers) did learn a small marketing lesson as in how far is too far, and this was really too far.
The Han Solo Spin Off Movie rumor just got more details. The rumor is there will be a Han Solo spin off that may feature a perfectly cast Aaron Paul as a young Han. https://hullcrave.com/

What? Netflix Just Acquired Millarworld Including Kick-Ass and Kingsman
Netflix just announced this morning that it has acquired Mark Millar’s Millarworld, the comic book mastermind behind Kick-Ass and Kingsman – to name a few. The the legendary creator’s publishing house and its contents will be be available exclusively to Netflix members.
New content coming from Millarworld
Millarworld will also continue to create and publish new content, stories and character franchises under the Netflix label. I wonder with a possibly large injection of capital and staff? Apparently superhero stories are working out well at Netflix as they have picked up the pace for their current offerings.
Having spent eight years at Marvel, Mark Millar also has created characters like Old Man Logan for the Disney owned publisher. I have to believe the old aged Wolverine story must be on the short list of “awesome new series we could make for 2019.”
An acquisition of this type is the first ever by Netflix. Actually it’s their first of any kind. According to the press release it’s “a natural progression in the company’s effort to work directly with prolific and skilled creators and to acquire intellectual property and ownership of stories featuring compelling characters and timeless, interwoven fictional worlds.”
Millar had this to say, “This is only the third time in history a major comic book company has been purchased at this level,” said Millar. “I’m so in love with what Netflix is doing and excited by their plans. Netflix is the future and Millarworld couldn’t have a better home.”
Updated:
According to a clarifying statement posted on the Millarworld forums, this Netflix deal does not include the Kick Ass or Kingsman IPs. “Kingsman and Kick-Ass have unique Hollywood deals elsewhere and aren’t a part of this particular acquisition, but those two fine men are toasting us in spirit from London and California respectively.”
No Hulu “Runaways” Pilot Or Updates At Comic Con
It seems like the perfect place and time to announce a comic book based series, but sadly there will be no Runaways pilot or any updates at Comic Con this year. Hulu confirmed this weekend that the Marvel series about gifted runaway teenagers isn’t quite ready. I followed up to see if there was any timeline for another announcement but have yet to hear back.
Certainly there will be plenty of other Marvel television shows to be enjoyed at Comic Con (which starts Wednesday) but I had big hopes to hear more about this fan favorite story. Since its announcement back in August there has been little to go on. The Twitter account hasn’t been much help either.
What we do know about the Runaways
The cast for Runaways was set and announced back in February, and includes Gregg Sulkinis as Chase Stein. Also noted were the showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage from The O.C. fame. Runaways will be released on Hulu sometime in 2018.
The Runaways story
Published by Marvel comics, Runaways tells the story of six teenagers who learn some interesting stuff about their parents in one very eventful evening. For years they wondering what went on behind the secret meetings, and charity events their parents would hold. Well now they know – and it isn’t good. Now on the run and added by their own super abilities the kids form a pact to protect themselves and take down an evil crime organization known as “The Pride.”
Each Year Comic Con Exceeds Expectations, And Often Disappoints
Celebrating the popular arts, the San Diego Comic Con 2017 starts on Wednesday this week. I’m wondering what the high and low points are going to be in this instalment. Each year Comic Con finds a new way to be awesome, and a new way to less than that. Sometimes it’s obvious, like the time we thought we could get dinner and still make it back to see the Luke Cage reveal. In my defense, the room was half empty when we left! Sometimes it’s more obtuse, like running into Syndicate just walking out of the Call of Duty offsite the night before opening.
Last year SyFy Live seemed like an sure-to-be-good event, – but man it wasn’t. Tapping away on my computer a few weeks before SDCC last year, I was grabbing tickets within minutes of reading they were available. Will Arnett was hosting and the guest list for the day I had tickets for included Norman Reedus from the Walking Dead, and the cast of Mr. Robot. Can’t go wrong there, and I bet Will would be promoting his new Lego Batman Movie. Maybe we will get some cool Lego Batman stuff, or a sneak previews, at least a weird story about about Christian Slater.
Well it was damn hot on the roof of some hotel where it was taking place, fucking hot actually. Mr. Arnett wasn’t very engaging (maybe it was the heat), rarely acknowledging the audience, and the cast of Mr. Robot? Yeah that was pre-taped and shown on a screen. Best part – we got Walking Dead luggage tags.
But if I give a bad example I must counter with something that was truly awesome – albeit small. On the last day (I think) artist Robert Sammelin was signing autographs at the Dark Horse booth. At the time I didn’t know who he was but I saw a few people holding Battlefield 1 posters that had been signed. Battlefield* being probably being one of the greatest games of all time I walked up just as the last people were leaving. His signing time was up. I asked if I could get one last poster and he graciously stayed. We ended up talking for 15 minutes. Robert is a concept artist who’s awesome work I’ve enjoyed for years. If you have seen the box for Battlefield 1 – then you’ve see his work.
Comic Con always delivers something, a few years ago I went to the Factory booth for an Archer cast signing. Dr. Krieger was there (Lucky Yates). When I walked up holding my Pam Poovey therapy dolphin he gives me this weird double take look. Then he tells me I look just like his long lost brother. (I’m not sure what that meant exactly) but he ends up taking a picture of me to send to his mom.
*We got preview Battlefield 1 last year at Xbox Live, arriving early we were in the very first group. Jack took first place during our session and won a Logitech gaming mouse.
Sony’s Marvel Universe And The Sliver & Black Film
One of the more interesting future comic book movies in the works is Sony’s film Silver & Black. There no official release yet but plenty of rumors surrounding this Spider-verse event, especially with Homecoming arriving soon. The graphic novel inspired movie will feature the characters Black Cat and Silver Sable. Filling the gray space between good and evil the two characters have been in Marvel comics since the early 80s. Each with their own baggage, the team up would be a wild ride if done properly.
Screen Rant reported earlier that film will actually be called “Silver & Black” and it will be directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood who has previous experience in the Marvel universe with Cloak and Dagger. If all goes well THR says filming would start this fall for a 2019 release date. Silver and Black apparently won’t have much to do with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man tho, but may include Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman)
Who are these Frenemies?
Felicia Hardy was inspired by her dad’s propensity to steal stuff and eventually became Black Cat. Currently a semi-reformed burglar she is also a former girlfriend of the original web slinger. Silver Sable shares Black Cat’s conflicted lifestyle. A mercenary who may or may not, want to do the right thing she is often in conflict with other heroes and sometimes villains. The most interesting characters are often only out for themselves.
Silver & Black will not be MCU compatible
It seems like the anti-hero film will not be part of the MCU, which not completely surprising but a little confusing with Spider-Man teaming up with the Avengers later this year. But Sony is making a new run at superhero films after pausing everything a few years ago and abandoned previous Spider-Man movies. Venom is confirmed and has a fall 2018 release date – includes Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock. This is all shaping up for another parallel Marvel universe, again.
An all female gig?
One of the more intriguing rumors is Silver and Black will be an all female joint. Borrowing some mojo from the success of Wonder Woman, Sony might try for it’s own girl-power movie? This was reported by Slash Film but actually I’m not sure what this even means. And one more rumor to toss in here… The Silver and Black film will be an origins film (surprised) with many cameo appearances from familiar faces such as Norman Osborn, and several others like The Scorpion and The Tarantula
