X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut Details

The X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut has yet to be formally announced and has been slipping past the original rumored released dates but some new details have emerged. FilmDivider reports that the BBFC has indicated the Rogue Cut will have a running time of 142 minute 37 seconds, which is about 11 minutes longer than the 131 minute 26 second theatrical cut. The additional content will be mostly Anna Paquin’s character Rogue.

 

The extended time may even be longer according to Brian Singer. Revealing on his Twitter account that the Rogue Cut will be over 17 minutes longer and will include, “a few little changes I made.”

In a Screen Rant interview with Simon Kinberg we found that Rouge’s subplot in DOFP was originally scripted as a mission for Charles and Eric (in their elder forms). As Kitty’s powers were winding down the two former biter rivals need to rescue Rogue who is the one mutant left who could take Kitty’s powers and continue the mission.
